OUR MANDATE
Department of the Interior and Local Government Memorandum Circular No. 2020 – 167 mandates the guidelines on promoting Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion and the Establishment of LEDIP Office/Unit in all provinces, cities, and municipalities to enhance the DILG MC No. 2010 – 113 on the Designation of Local Economic and Investment Promotions Officer (LEIPO) as an economic partner in attracting more investments to enhance local economic activities.
The LEDIPO in the Municipality of Lambunao was created under Special Ordinance No. 23-001 dated February 27, 2023, entitled “An Ordinance Amending Special Ordinance No. 21-003 – An Ordinance Creating and Establishing the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions (LEDIP) Office in the Local Government Unit of the Municipality of Lambunao, Iloilo as per DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2020 -167.
This aims to expand the role of the LEDIPO to serve not only as the local investment promotions officer but also as the focal officer for local economic development and to clearly define the required competencies and minimum qualification requirements for the LEDIPO; clearly define the role of the LEDIP Office/Unit and its composition; and clearly define the functions and required competencies and minimum qualification requirements of the LEDIPO’s staff.

OUR DIVISIONS
Economic Enterprise Division
- Prepares proposals/plans for the establishment of a new economic enterprise
- Conduct research on LGU’s best Public Private Partnership practices
Business Development Division
- Supervises Trade and Industry Functions
- Monitors and recommends interventions for MSMEs
Investment Services Division
- Evaluates/analyzes local incentive application of businesses
- Assists in new business or joint venture identification in the LGU for possible investment areas
- Develops marketing and public relations promotional plan
